What you need to know when it is time to play Empty
PostSubject: What you need to know when it is time to play   What you need to know when it is time to play EmptySun May 09, 2010 7:26 am

Here are the most important things you need to know.

  • Captain ask you if you can play next week/round.
  • If it is decided that you should play, then you need to arrange game in GTA (Game Time Arrangement) in CC-forum. There are different GTA for Ciberzona Cup, Regular League and Indivdual Tournament, so be sure you are in the right GTA. There you tell your opponent what times and dates you can play. When opponent answer and you both agree on a time and a date, then an admin normally add it to the calendar.
  • In the calendar you can see who play every day. Here you can also look if you want to watch other play, but don´t know when they are playing.
  • In this GTA you also see what color you have. If it says for example: 3.(w) Tirant lo Blanc (5) vs (b) Khai (5). That means that Tirant lo Blanc play on board 3 and that he has white since (w) means white and that he is cat 5.
  • Cat is a rank. The following show what cat your rating will give you:
    Cat 1: 0-1399
    Cat 2: 1400-1499
    Cat 3: 1500-1599
    Cat 4: 1600-1699
    Cat 5: 1700-1799
    Cat 6: 1800-1899
    Cat 7: 1900-1999
    Cat 8: 2000-2099
    Cat 9: 2100-2199
    Cat 10: 2200-to above
  • The thinking time in Ciberzona Cup and Regular league is 60+5 (60 minutes and 5 extra seconds each move). In Individual tournament it is 30+5 game.
  • When it is the time and date to play, you go to the room Meeting Point in playchess. Click following to get there:
    Clubs&Federations>Net Communities>Ciberzonaches>Meeting Point.
  • If opponent is late and don´t arrive within 15 minutes after the decided time, then you can claim win. Also if you are late, your opponent can claim win after 15 minutes.
  • When you start the game, you should challenge your player with either 30+5 (Individual Tournament) or 60+5. You should also have turned of the formula. Because maybe you have set that you only want to play players who have rating 1800-3800 or so. Then your opponent will not recieve the challenge/seek because your formula reject the challenge/seek.
  • Ok, let´s pretend you are white after looking in the GTA earlier and after the challenge you still get black. Then you must do the following: Resign, then click "Rematch". Since you resign before making a move, then you will not lose any rating. When opponent accept the rematch, then you have the right color.
  • During the game you need to know the following. If opponent is disconnected, then you can not claim win until opponent has been disconnected 3 times or a total of 15 minutes.
  • When the game is over, one of the player should post the result in the result section of either IT, Cup or Regular league. If you can not do it, you can ask other or your captain can do it for you, but try to do it yourself firstly.
